How the Bollywood
hour dances by.
It opens with a bhangra warm-up — shoulders bouncing, arms wide, grins involuntary — because in Bollywood the energy is the technique. The gestures come next, each with its story explained, so the routine means something as well as looks like something.
Then it's assembly time: verse by verse, the group builds towards a full film-finale number, splitting into halves that answer each other before sweeping back together around the bride. The ninety-minute version adds a second sequence and enough run-throughs to get that one glorious take where nobody is a beat behind.

01Do we need any Bollywood knowledge?
None at all. The choreographer explains where each move comes from as you learn it, which makes the routine funnier and richer — but the class assumes zero familiarity with the films or the music.
02What music powers the Bollywood routine?
Big, joyful soundtrack numbers with an irresistible dhol beat — the kind that make sitting still impossible. If there's a specific film song your group adores, name it in the enquiry and we'll do our best to choreograph to it.
03Is it very energetic?
It's lively — the bhangra sections get the heart rate up — but everything scales. Anyone who needs to dial the bouncing down can keep the arms and the attitude and still be fully part of the number.
04Can we wear saris or bring bangles?
You're welcome to — anything you bring transforms the video. Just know that costumes, scarves and accessories are yours to source, as we don't supply props; plenty of groups do the whole thing in leggings and it's still magic.
05Can the bride take the lead in the Bollywood routine?
She's the star of the final tableau — the group sweeps into position around her for the closing pose, and we can hand her a simple solo moment before it if she's game. We'll match it to her appetite for attention.
